Addressing Sustainable Development Goals
There is an urgent need to address climate change, pollution, deforestation, and biodiversity loss.
The Satsang Foundation works towards protecting ecosystems, promoting sustainable practices, and raising environmental awareness through partnerships with communities, governments, and corporations. These initiatives support conservation, water management, waste reduction, and education, empowering individuals to act for a healthier planet and a more sustainable future.
By promoting tree planting, soil and water conservation, these projects contribute to combating climate change and protecting terrestrial ecosystems. The Foundation’s initiatives in some form connect with almost all SDGs, helping to remove poverty (UN SDG #1), prevent hunger (#2), promoting health & well-being (#3), improving lives of women (#5), ensuring clean water availability (#6), providing economic opportunities (#8), reducing inequality (#10), creating sustainable communities (#11) with responsible consumption and production (#12), through direct climate action (#13), nurturing life below water (#14) and life on land (#15), through community-private-government partnerships for the Goals (#17).
